The USGS Eastern Ecological Science Center (EESC) at Patuxent Research Refuge (PRR) requires abatement services, prior to demolition of the Henshaw Lab, located at 11500 American Holy Drive Laurel, MD 20708. The contractor shall provide all labor and materials to remove all asbestos, lead, and PCB containing material from the Henshaw Lab structure, dispose of all the hazardous material at a certified hazardous waste collection facility, and have final PCM air clearance certification completed by third party industrial hygienist. The hazardous building material survey is included as Attachment 1. A site visit of the facility may be arranged by contacting Charles Wicks at cewicks@usgs.gov. This shall be a firm fixed-price purchase order with a performance period of 90 days, with exception. The acquisition is being conducted under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and set-aside for small businesses. The NAICS code is 562910, Environmental Remediation Services, Size Standard $25 million. The award will be made to the offer that provides the best value to Government based on past performance and price. Refer to RFQ Section E for instructions and evaluation factors.
