The U.S. Geological Survey intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to Nano Science Instruments of Phoenix, Arizona to purchase two-dimensional seismic data from the Gulf Coast Petroleum Province. The Gulf Coast Petroleum Systems project requires the acquisition of reprocessed, depth-migrated, two-dimensional (2D), interpreted seismic data in the area of northern and central Florida. Data of this type have previously been licensed by the USGS in Florida and elsewhere in the Gulf Coast, and are part of a regional stratigraphic framework that ties seismic data to wellbore penetrations. The sole source request would be in keeping with other sole-source seismic acquisitions by the USGS in past years because Fairfield Geotechnologies now owns the data library previously sole sourced by a previously awarded vendor which bankrupted in 2022. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Email responses to rlanderson@usgs.gov. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 541360. The size standard is $25 million. The anticipated contract will be firm fixed-price. A vendor must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ to be awarded the contract.
