The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to ESI North America of Farmington Hills (ESI), Michigan for a computational fluid dynamics software, Visual-CFD. The USGS is conducting several studies with partners currently using Visual-CFD and if other software is substituted the product(s) would be incompatible with existing data processed using Visual-CFD, significantly degrading USGS's research. ESI is the sole proprietor of this software and therefore is the only source reasonable available. Product will be delivered within 30 days of the date the contractor receives the purchase order. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Email responses to rlanderson@usgs.gov. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 511210. The size standard is $41.5 million. The anticipated contract will be firm fixed-price.
