The USGS Florence Bascom Geoscience Center (FBGC) has a requirement for Strontium Isotope Stratigraphy geochronology of early to middle Pleistocene mollusk and possibly coral specimens using the new methodology for improved analytical precision and therefore more decreased error of calculated ages as established by Sandstrom et al. It is anticipated that a single-award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will be awarded in response to this solicitation. Task Orders will be issued on a firm-fixed price basis for analyses under this contract. The not-to-exceed ceiling for this IDIQ contract is 125 samples over the period of performance of four years. This is a full and open competition. Competitive RFQ 140G0122Q0015 will be issued on or about 11/16/2021 with quotes due on 12/3/2021. The NAICS code is 541380 Testing Laboratories. The size standard is $16.5 million. A vendor must be registered at https://sam.gov/SAM/ to receive an award. All responsible sources may submit a response which shall be considered by the agency.
