The U.S. Geological Survey intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to Attagene, Inc. located in Morrisville, North Carolina for the analysis of Drinking Water Samples from Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. This effort is in support of the New Jersey Water Science Center (NJWSC) in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. The period of performance will extend seven months from the date of award. There will be no option years. Attagene, Inc. is the only known source to provide the required analysis. Awarding to any other source would disconnect the results from other samples in previous multi-agency research efforts and generate incompatible and incomparable results. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency; however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Email responses to kweaver@usgs.gov.
