The U.S. Geological Survey, Coastal & Marine Science Center, St. Petersburg, Florida 33701, requires upgrade of the battery backup room ventilation, fire, and electrical systems to comply with current codes. The contractor must have a superintendent to oversee work on-site. The project shall be completed within 45 days after notice to proceed is issued. The project magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. This firm fixed-price solicitation for construction is being conducted under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and set-aside for small businesses. The NAICS is 238220 and the size standard is $16.5 million. A site visit may be scheduled by contacting the Technical Liaison, as described under Section L.8. CONTRACTORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO VISIT THE SITE. The award will be made to the offer that provides the best value to Government considering price and non-price factors approximately equal, with exception.
