The U.S. Geological Survey intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to EMD Millipore Corporation located in Burlington, MA for the annual preventative maintenance and certification of two EMD Millipore laboratory water purification systems, the Elix Essential 10 and the Milli-Q Advantage A10, for the USGS St. Petersburg Center. The period of performance for the base year is 08/01/2020 to 07/31/2021. There are four one-year option periods. EMD Millipore Corporation is the only source uniquely qualified to perform these services in the United States. Proper maintenance and servicing for this system requires using certified, trained service engineers, which are only available through Millipore Sigma. Millipore Sigma does not train or certify third party companies to service or maintain their products, they maintain their own staff of trained service engineers. Millipore provides original manufacturer replacement parts as well as software and firmware updates to maximum the operational lifespan of the equipment at the highest performance level. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Email responses to krschneider@usgs.gov. The NAICS code is 811219. The size standard is $22.0 Million. The anticipated award date of the contract is 07/31/2020. The anticipated contract will be firm fixed-price.
