Geological Survey, Virginia/West Virginia Water Science Center (VWVWSC) has a requirement to replace handrails at both stream gages sites. To be in compliance with safety regulations, the handrails at both sites need to be replaced. To ensure the longevity of the walkway structures, and help with the appearance of the structures, the metal walkways need to be sanded and repainted with rust inhibiting paint. Projects location for site 03208500 Russell Fork at Haysi, VA. And the project location for site 03168800 New River at Allison, VA. The project shall be completed within 60 days for each site after notice to proceed is issued. There are no option periods. The magnitude of construction is less than $25,000.00 Request for Quote (RFQ) 140G0120Q0168 will be issued on or about 06/19/2020 with written quotes due on or about 07/06/2020. A site visit will be held. A minimum of 24 hours advance notice MUST be given to Dennis Adams 276.780.1695 or dwadams@usgs.gov for attendance of the site visit. The date, time, and contact info for the site visit can be found in Section L in the Request for Quote (RFQ). CONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE SITE VISIT.
