The U.S. Geological Survey is seeking potential sources provide expertise to develop and test an improved pressure-difference bedload sampler, that will lead to a standardized, calibrated piece of equipment for FISP (The Farmer Input Support Program) that will facilitate more consistent and more accurate measurements of bedload transport by preventing bias introduced by scooping, to be delivered to the USGS Illinois Water Science Center located at 405 N. Goodwin Ave, Urbana, IL 61801 for the period of performance from September 01, 2019 through August 31, 2020 The anticipated cost is $29,500.00 All interested firms shall submit a response demonstrating their capabilities to perform the requested service to the primary contact below. Firms responding should indicate whether their socioeconomic status (e.g. small business, service disabled veteran, woman/women owned, HUBZone, etc.). The Government¿s evaluation of the capabilities of respondents will factor into whether the forthcoming solicitation will be conducted using full and open competition or as a set-aside for small businesses or small business designation.
