The U. S. Geological Survey, South Atlantic Water Science Center (SAWSC) has a requirement to build a 30¿x72¿x12¿ boat storage shed is required to house and protect the USGS boats. The boat storage shed will have a concrete floor, open (no) walls, and a galvanized metal roof. The Savannah Field Office of the SAWSC is moving and collocating with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge on Alligator Alley in Hardeeville, South Carolina. Savannah Field Office staff routinely utilize boats in the performance of their daily, official duties. The new facility at the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge does not have a building for the storage and protection of the USGS boats. The project is located in Hardeeville, SC 25430. The project shall be completed within 45 days after notice to proceed is issued. There are no option periods. The magnitude of construction is under $20,000 -$30,000 Request for Quote (RFQ) 140G0119Q0076 will be issued on or about 02/14/2019 with written quotes due on or about 03/01/2019. A site visit will be held. A minimum of 24 hours advance notice MUST be given to John Shelton 803-750-6112 or jmshelto@usgs.gov for attendees of the site visit. The date, time, and contact info for the site visit can be found in section L. In the Request for Quote (RFQ). CONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE SITE VISIT. This acquisition is total small business set-a-side. The NAICS code is 238110. The size standard is $15.0 million. The anticipated award date of the contract is 03/22/2019. A vendor must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/index.html to be awarded the contract. All responsible sources may submit a bid or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
