The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order on a sole-source basis to a qualified contractor under FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and (ii), for purchases not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The requirement addresses an immediate and critical operational need, and delaying procurement for full and open competition would cause unacceptable delays and could adversely affect mission operations, facility operations, employee safety, public safety, or other essential Government functions. The Government has identified a source with the capability, availability, and resources needed to meet the required schedule and minimize operational disruption. Award is anticipated subject to the availability of funds and completion of all applicable acquisition requirements.
