This solicitation is for the fabrication of two specialized 3,000-gallon single-axle semi-trailers for live fish transportation in the Sacramento River watershed and surrounding areas. The trailers must have features for aeration, oxygenation, and precise temperature control to maintain fish health during transports lasting five or more hours. A key requirement is that vendors must demonstrate prior experience producing a similar live fish trailer capable of handling everything from small fry to large adult broodstock. The system must maintain water temperature within ±3 degrees Fahrenheit of a target despite external ambient temperatures ranging from 30 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit.
