TX-EVAL & MITIGATION, Sensitive Wildlife This is a sources sought for evaluating if and how border barrier system construction and installation may have affected wildlife considered threatened and endangered by the state of Texas. The species considered include the Texas tortoise and Texas horned lizard. Other species inhabiting this area that are also sensitive to habitat degradation and fragmentation are included in these investigations, namely the Texas indigo snake, plain chachalaca, chestnut-bellied scaled quail, collared peccary, and neotropical migratory birds.
