THERMAL ENVELOPE & HVAC UPGRADE: provide all materials, equipment, labor, and supervision to rehab the National Eagle & Wildlife Property Repository Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge Adams County, Colorado. The National Wildlife Property & Eagle Repository (NWPR) is a 22,000 square foot office and warehouse located northeast of Denver, Colorado at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. The facility is responsible for receiving wildlife items that have been forfeited or abandoned to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. In accordance with the law, these items are stored in a secure environment, and many of the items are donated to educational facilities, nonprofit organizations, and conservation agencies to aid in teaching about endangered species and other wildlife. The primary scope of work includes the renovation and upgrade of the thermal envelope and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and electrical systems and the addition of a 184 sf Sally Port. The work also includes miscellaneous interior renovations and the construction of a new, conditioned Beetle Colony Room, and a vestibule/locker area in the Warehouse. The construction type for the new Sally Port, new north wall infill, and miscellaneous interior walls will be II-B Unprotected Non-Combustible Construction (IBC 2018). The Occupancy Classification will be unchanged, as Business Group B (IBC 2018). The project is expected to be a Small Business Set-aside. The construction magnitude is $1-$5 Million. We expect the RFP and project documents to be available on/about 3 Mar 2021. The POC for the effort is the Contracting Officer Tim Officer 303-236-4320, or Tim_Officer@fws.gov
