This is a Synopsis/Pre-Solicitation notice. The final solicitation package will follow. This opportunity is only available to Small Businesses. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, California-Great Basin Region 10, has a requirement for a Seismic Retrofit Project that will upgrade the Headquarters building to meet current federal seismic requirements at Kern National Wildlife Refuge, Delano, CA (Kern County). The project includes additional connections, wall reinforcement and window replacements. This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. This will be a Firm Fixed Priced Contract and Award will be based on Lowest-Price Technically-Acceptable (LPTA). The complete Solicitation will be posted to https://beta.sam.gov/ under Contract Opportunities and available on https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect/Default.htm public opportunities on or about April 24, 2020. Interested contractors must be registered in SAM (System for Award Management, www.sam.gov) and complete Online Representations and Certifications. Due to COVID-19 there will be a virtual site visit only with a conference call to answer any questions. Details will be provided in the complete solicitation which is scheduled to be posted on or about April 24, 2020. The NAICS code is 236220 ¿ Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and the size standard is $39.5 million. The project magnitude is between $100,000 and $500,000. The work will commence within 15 days of Notice to Proceed and be completed within 24 months.
