Proposals are NOT being requested nor accepted at this time. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information from businesses that would be interested and capable of the types of construction noted below. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) will use information obtained through this synopsis as well as other market research to develop an acquisition strategy. The USFWS anticipates soliciting and awarding one Firm-Fixed price construction contract to restore the staff bunkhouse from storm damage at Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge. Work is expected to include several tasks including: (1) foundation restoration of concrete pier block type foundation, (2) repair and restoration of metal roof and gutters, (3) replacement of siding inclusive of moisture testing and surface preparation, (4) decking, (5) installation of on-demand hot water heaters, (6) replacement of exterior doors, (7) complete restroom renovation to include flooring, plumbing, fixtures, and hardware, (8) mud room renovation to include flooring and paint, and heating system renovation to include pellet stove installation. In addition, the Government may wish to renovate additional structures on the site. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code will be 236118- Residential Remodelers, and the applicable size standard will be $39.5 Million. All business categories are invited to respond. Interested firms are requested to respond to this notice by furnishing the following information by 06/11/2020. (1) Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and email address.
