The work requires to provide the labor, equipment, and material needed to remove existing pavement markings and reapply new pavement markings according to the contract plans. AMENDMENT 2: THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS AS FOLLOWS: Provide Submitted (2) Questions and Responses from the Government. Question 1: Will it be acceptable for the Contractor to remove the markings and immediately restripe those same areas? If so can the Government clarify its intentions behind temporary pavement markings being listed in the price schedule? Government Answer: Yes, this would actually be our preference. The intent of the temporary pavement marking is that if you remove the markings and plan to place it at a later time, until then you must place temporary pavement marking. Question 2: Can the government clarify what night work will be acceptable? Government Answer: Our goal is to not disturb the neighborhood for an extended period of time during night sleep hours. All work is permitted during night shift, except for the removal of pavement marking which we had anticipated to be noisy. Once we understand your methods and duration for the marking removal during our pre-construction meeting, and if it is reasonable with respect to noise at night, we can approve that as well All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
