Amendment No.: 001 is to respond to questions received: a) Shop drawings signed and sealed by a registered Professional Engineer for structural concrete and reinforcing steel details? BIA Response: This is part of the submittal process before any work takes place. Contractor is referring to the ADA compliant pedestrian ramp replacement. Statement of work under Section D. Scope of Work, item 4, Install a pedestrian ramp (handicap ramp); Type II-A, City of Riverside Public work department detail standard drawing No. 304. 1 Each. b) Contractor's Quality Control Plan must be stamped and signed by a Civil Engineer? BIA Response: Quality Control Plan, Section 153 of the FHWA FP-14 is a requirement. Contractor's engineer shall stamped and signed the contractor's quality control plan. c) Requirement for the Independent Testing Laboratory to submit a Quality Control plan and be approved by the Office of Facilities Management? BIA Response: Contractor Sampling and Testing, Section 154 of the FHWA FP-14 is a requirement by the government. This is a qualifications data requested to ensure the Independent Testing Lab is qualified to perform the testing, sampling and providing lab results of materials. d) Requirement for the Engineer from the Independent Testing Laboratory to review the work in the field on a "bi-weeky basis, or more frequently, if required." (It is unclear if this is intended to be twice in one week or once every two weeks.)? BIA Response: Contractor is referring to Section 154 of the SCR, FHWA FP-14. The contractor is responsible for setting up the schedule for; compaction, sampling and testing of materials. This means the contractor shall inform the independent testing lab when testing will take place on site. e). Given the requirements above are an addition to the previously-solicited scope of work, is the range of the project still $25,000 to $100,000? BIA Response: at this time the amount of the government estimate will remain the same. ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO REMAIN THE SAME.
