This requirement is for Workers Compensation Insurance at the American Embassy in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT), Australia. The anticipated performance period is for a base year with one option year period, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered, however as per the Workers Compensation ACT 1951 potential bidders must be an approved insurer and granted authority by the ACT Minister (Head of the ACT Government) in accordance with the regulations to preform Workers Compensation Insurance. Only those bidders whom are granted permission and approved by the ACT Minister will be considered. Details/application on how to become an approved insurer by the ACT Minister can be found here: https://www.accesscanberra.act.gov.au/app/answers/detail/a_id/3170/~/workers-compensation-insurer-approval The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The Embassy intends to hold a pre-proposal conference. All prospective offerors who have recieved a solicitation package are invited to attend and need to contact Stephen Kund at KundSO@state.gov or +61-6214-5779 to register. The conference will be held at 12 Moonah Place, Yarralumla, ACT, at 10:00 A.M. Australian Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on December 3, 2019. Submit any questions you may have concerning the solicitation documents in writing by 5:00 P.M Australian EDT December 5, 2019. All contractors must be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.
