AFRICAP III J&A Extension: This new AFRICAP III extension period is for an additional twelve (12) months which would extend AFRICAP III through November 2, 2024. However, the goal is to cease the use of the AFRICAP III contract vehicle as soon as possible and transition to the GLOBALCAP contract vehicle. GLOBALCAP is tentatively planned to be awarded in Q3 of FY24. This means if GLOBALCAP is awarded in Q3 of FY24, the AFRICAP III IDIQs would no longer be utilized from that point forward and all new task orders will be issued under GLOBALCAP. The extension of AFRICAP III until November 2, 2024, is executed as a worst-case scenario (e.g., GAO protest, Competitive Range Determinations, multiple rounds of Discussions and Evaluation Notices, lengthy Final Proposal Revision process, etc.) as the goal will be to transition off AFRICAP III sooner than November 2, 2024.
