The Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is seeking offers from U.S. citizens for a Personal Services Contractor position as a Rural Security Advisor, to be performed at the U.S. Embassy in Bogota, Colombia, with regular travel to rural and conflict-affected areas. The contract period is 12 months from award, with four optional one-year extensions, and the salary range is FS-02 equivalent $102,409-$150,391 per annum. The advisor will support INL's FORT program by managing rural police base construction, advising Colombian police and military operations, and overseeing program oversight, equipment accountability, and reporting. Candidates need U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret clearance, a bachelor's degree, six years of relevant security/law enforcement advisory experience, three years managing security assistance abroad, and professional Spanish proficiency.
