This Synopsis or Pre solicitation of Request for Quotation intends to procure temporary structures or modular units to use as barracks, or living units. The selected contractor should include all services including design, manufacture, delivery and proper installation and local transport to Nicanor, Darien Province, Republic of Panama. Interested companies may offer any of the two options: OPTION 1: Two, single story prefabricated temporary structures or modular units with ten single room living units. Minimum Equipping and additional Details: Manufacture, equipping and installation of two (2) single story prefabricated ten (10) single room living units. All materials, equipment, and components, locally recognized brand, in new condition, with applicable manufacturer’s warranty. Specify warranty. All electrical and plumbing materials and installation meet applicable codes. Installation by or under the direct supervision of licensed professionals. Include air conditioning option or options. include operational toilet, shower, sink and associated plumbing for each of the 20 rooms Include hot water for each unit Include all transportation and crane operation fee, installation, area cleaning, and finish. Walls and Ceiling Walls and ceilings fabricated with moisture and mold resistant materials and thermo-acoustic insulation material (R-13 or local equivalent). Include acoustic insulation in the walls between individual rooms. Walls and ceilings should be finished with moisture and mold resistant materials. Include opening glass windows with screen for each unit. Flooring Meet or exceed: fiber-cement floorboards with wood or faux wood finish. all floorboards will be of commercial grade and support a high volume of pedestrian traffic. Exterior Exterior frame fabricated with galvanized steel construction, with epoxy enamel coating, and “walls” fabricated with a mineral-based thermo-acoustic insulation material. Specify number of leveling block per unit. The foundations must withstand rain forest conditions (frequent rain, high humidity, and soft soil). Specify modifications or upgrades that would be required to add a second story on top of units installed. Basic Electrical Package All electrical connections from the units to the main source of electrical power, inclusive of labor and materials. Equal to or better than: three (3) 120v outlets per individual room. Equal to or better than: two (2) 18-watt led lights per individual room. See general layout in the next page OPTION 2: eight (8) three-bedroom three- bathroom, 40-foot marine shipping container living units. Minimum Equipping and additional Details: 40-foot marine shipping container must be in close-to-new condition. Cargo doors will be inoperable. All materials, equipment, and components, locally recognized brand, in new condition, with applicable manufacturer’s warranty. Specify warranty. All electrical and plumbing materials and installation meet construction codes. Installation by or under the direct supervision of licensed electricians and plumbers. All electrical connections from the units to the main source of electrical power, inclusive of labor and materials. Include air conditioning option or options for all bedrooms. Specify BTU. Include toilet, shower stall, sink and associated plumbing for each of the 24 rooms. Hot water for all units. Include all transportation and crane operation fee, installation, area cleaning, and finish. The installation site is firm and level. No requirement for kitchens or living room modifications. Walls and Ceiling Walls and ceilings fabricated with moisture and mold resistant materials and thermo-acoustic insulation material (R-13 or local equivalent). Include acoustic insulation in the walls between individual rooms. Walls and ceilings should be finished with moisture and mold resistant materials. Include opening glass windows with screen for each unit. Flooring Equal to or better than: Fiber-cement floorboards with wood or faux wood finish. All floorboards will be of commercial grade and support a high volume of pedestrian traffic. Build in drain for each room to facilitate deep cleaning process. Exterior Exterior equal to or better than: Galvanized steel construction, with epoxy or equivalent and mold resistant coating. All doors weather resistant exterior grade. Minimum 30 inches wide. Weather resistant commercial grade door locks and latches. Basic Electrical Package Minimum 125A panel with disconnect and data pass-through for each 40-foot container. Equal to or better than: Three (3) 120v outlets per individual room (one in the bathroom area). Equal to or better than: Three (3) 18-watt LED lights or equivalent per individual room. One in the bathroom over the sink. One exterior security light adjacent to each door. Wiring for internet. One outlet in all rooms. Restrooms and Showers Include standard toilet, shower stall, sink with mirror and associated plumbing for each of the 24 rooms. Electrical hot water system or systems that services each unit. Prefer one electric tankless water heater per unit but open a better solution. Specify rating. Ventilation system for each unit. Specify capacity. Ceramic, Vinyl or other equivalent waterproof flooring in the bathroom.
