This is a Sources Sought/RFI for market research only, not a solicitation, seeking interested vendors capable of providing local guard services at the U.S. Embassy South Africa. The Department of State wants to assess all business sizes’ interest and capability to protect U.S. personnel, facilities, and equipment, including preventing unauthorized access, maintaining order, and deterring criminal or terrorist attacks. Required capabilities include host-country licensing, labor and tax law compliance, insurance, radio/security equipment, guard force equipment, 24/7 staffing, hiring/training/retaining host-country nationals, customs/import-export compliance, AECA/ITAR compliance, and safe tracking of government-furnished property. Interested contractors should review the draft PWS and Section H special contract requirements via the vendor restricted access form and complete the contractor information form/questionnaire; responses will inform procurement method but do not bind the government or guarantee award. The effort also requires managing transition and standing up the new contract within an estimated 90 calendar days.
