This publication of the justification for other than full and open competition is being submitted in accordance with FAR 6.305. The Department of State, Office of Acquisition Management awarded a sole source Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to SAAB, Inc. for continued logistical deployment and replacement of critical spare parts and associated maintenance activities in support of two (2) Giraffe 1X (G1X) radars. The contract is for a period consisting of one base and four option years. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
