Request for Information (RFI) and Sources Sought (THIS IS NOT AN RFQ) - DOS Division of Defensive Equipment and Armored Vehicles (DEAV) is seeking information regarding hazardous or explosive material disposal, and U.S. companies capable of secure, safe, and verifiable ammunition disposal. Required Qualifications (see attached RFI for complete information) 1. The Contractor must own or have authorized access to a disposal facility that accepts or treats explosive hazardous wastes, as approved for this purpose by the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). 2. The Contractor must have an active valid registration from the DTSC to transport hazardous waste in Virginia. 3. Before work can commence, the Contractor must obtain an active valid permit from the Virginia Highway Patrol to transport explosive hazardous materials in Virginia and submit proof of such to the Department of State Project Representative. 4. The Contractor must be an individual or firm currently licensed to do business in Virginia. 5. The Contractor must have a business license or incorporation papers for their respective State showing that their company is in good standing in that state, if the Contractor’s base of operation is located outside the State of Virginia.
