Civilian Armored Vehicle Manufacturers
The government is conducting a sources sought notice to identify potential vendors specializing in civilian armored vehicles, and it will only accept firms that perform the actual armoring work from start to finish, not brokers or intermediaries. Any resulting contract is anticipated to be an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) with a one-year base period plus nine twelve-month option periods. All vehicle armoring work must be performed at facilities located in the United States, and no armoring work may be performed or subcontracted to facilities in countries subject to U.S. sanctions or export control restrictions. Interested firms should be prepared to provide company and small-business information, SAM registration, and a capability statement of up to 20 pages covering armoring experience, manufacturing capabilities, security clearances, GSA schedule, and IDIQ/pricing/warranty/teaming feedback. The notice also requests feedback on small-business set-aside feasibility, single- vs. multiple-award IDIQ preferences, rough order-of-magnitude cost ranges, overseas warranty support at U.S. Department of State posts, bonding capacity, and potential barriers such as export control or material sourcing.
