The solicitation is for customized life insurance service to the locally engaged staff of the U.S. Embassy in Harare, Zimbabwe. Insurance services for an estimate of 275 locally engaged staff (LES) staff shall include: Natural Death Accidental Death Total Disability Partial Disability Funeral Benefit The amount of group life insurance coverage is as follows: Death Benefit: The following benefits will be paid to the participant's named beneficiaries or estate upon the death of the participant: (1) Natural Death: 32 times the monthly basic salary (2) Accidental Death: 32 times the monthly basic salary Disability Benefit: (1) Full Disability: 32 times the monthly basic salary (2) Partial Disability: 12 times the monthly basic salary Funeral Benefit: A lump sum of $300 is paid to the person who paid for the deceased employee’s funeral. Employee must have one year of service at the time of death to be eligible for this grant. Eligible survivors (in order of priority) include a widow(er), orphans younger than age 18 (age 25 if a student, no limit if permanently disabled), parents, and other dependents.
