The U.S. Embassy Tashkent seeks a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract with GUP “InterForum” for integrated event organization, venue, technical, design, and on-site support for an S Visit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, in October 2026. The scope includes Congress Hall venue spaces; personnel, furniture, and table setting; lighting and sound; 150 square meters of LED screens; high-speed internet; banners; floral arrangements; visual identity, print, wayfinding, graphics, animation, and 3D renderings; and simultaneous-interpretation equipment with 10 units, 200 headsets, and 10 booths. The total estimated value is UZS 3,487,503,140, including UZS 2,830,765,535 in base services, a 10% InterForum service fee of UZS 283,076,554, and 12% VAT of UZS 373,661,051. The justification states InterForum is the only company with a venue capable of meeting the high-level event requirements, while Movenpick Samarkand did not meet security requirements and Hilton Garden Inn lacked sufficient event facilities. Market research covered Samarkand hotels and event facilities plus AV, interpretation, floral, and design providers, and no other sources have expressed written interest.
