The Embassy of the United States in Spain will launch the solicitation on the beta.SAM.gov website when it is available. The Embassy of the United States in Madrid will issue a solicitation for cleaning services for the Chancery building and other USG facilities in Madrid, Spain. The Contractor shall perform services in all designated spaces including, but not limited to, halls, offices, restrooms, work areas, entrance ways, lobbies, storage areas, elevators and stairways. The Contractor shall participate in the U.S. Embassy recycling program. The Contractor shall furnish all managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel necessary to accomplish the work in this contract. Contractor employees shall be on site only for contractual duties and not for other business purposes. The anticipated performance is for one one-year base period and four one-year periods, if exercised by the Government. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed-price type contract. Extent of the requirement: Chancery building: Estimated area: 4,538 sq. meters Living Quarters: Estimated qty. 50 per year // Average area: 230 sq. meters // Total estimated area 50 x 230 sq. meters = 11,500 sq. meters The Government plans to issue the solicitation in January 2021 The solicitation will be issued electronically on beta.SAM.gov. No paper copies will be mailed. All contractors have to be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provisions 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of proposals.
