The Embassy of the United States in Madrid will issue a solicitation for cleaning services for the Chancery building and other USG facilities in Madrid, Spain. The Contractor shall perform services in all designated spaces including, but not limited to, halls, offices, restrooms, work areas, entrance ways, lobbies, storage areas, elevators, and stairways. The Contractor shall participate in the U.S. Embassy recycling program. The Contractor shall furnish all managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel necessary to accomplish the work in this contract. Contractor employees shall be on site only for contractual duties and not for other business purposes. The anticipated performance period is for one base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The Government is planning a pre-proposal conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation.
