The U.S. Consulate General Cape Town seeks a firm-fixed-price contractor for trenching, underground conduit and handhole installation, civil works, and extension of 13 existing perimeter fence posts for security cameras at the U.S. Consulate compound in Cape Town. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, contractor-furnished materials, equipment, transportation, safety measures, and incidentals, while the U.S. Government furnishes the conduits and handholes. Award will go to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror, with key qualifications including CIDB grade 3 registration, an ECSA-registered Civil Engineer or Engineering Technologist, at least two comparable completed trenching/underground utility/civil projects, a suitable site manager/engineer, safety methodology, and project schedule. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 10:00 AM SAST, with attendance confirmation due Friday, October 23, 2026, and written technical questions due Friday, October 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM SAST. Work must be completed within 4–6 weeks after authorized commencement, with pricing in ZAR, VAT separately identified, DBA insurance premium included under CLIN 0009, and NDAA certification required.
