The Contractor shall provide medical physician services for the U.S. Embassy Ljubljana. Contractor employees shall be on site only for contractual duties and not for other business purposes. The price listed shall include all labor, insurance, overhead, and profit. The Government will pay the Contractor the fixed price per month for services that have been satisfactorily performed. This is a firm fixed price purchase order for a one-year period from the date of the award, with two one-year options to renew. The Contractor shall furnish all managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel that are necessary to accomplish the work on this order. Project: Local Physician services 1. Patient appointments at the U.S. Embassy Health Unit (HU) located in the Chancery, four (4) hours per work week. 2. Patient examinations (including drivers, medical clearance etc.) 3. Prescriptions for patients including regular renewal prescriptions and controlled medicine prescriptions. 4. Accept calls after hours when assistance is needed and during the absence of the HU nurse 5. Additional services (For example: advocate for the patient if services outside of the contractor's premises are needed. specialist consults, and appointments. Assist the Post HU when needed during Very Important Person visits). General requirements: Contractor shall have patient appointments every Monday and Thursday from 14:00 – 16:00, totaling 4 hours per week (dates and times are negotiable as long as they total 4 hours per week). During scheduled hours evaluates eligible Embassy community members that are under the Chief of Mission and determines and recommends appropriate medical treatment for medical conditions ranging from minor complaints to serious emergency illnesses or injuries requiring case management or hospitalization and/or medical evaluation; consults on complex cases and medical evacuation. Contractor shall oversee maintaining and updating patient records that are kept at the Embassy HU Medical file cabinet. Contractor shall accept phone calls during the days they are not at the Embassy from Embassy HU staff who carries the Med Duty phone. All materials and supplies as needed shall be provided by the Embassy. The Contractor shall issue prescriptions to patients as needed. The prescriptions shall be for chronical illnesses and/or acute medical problems. Additional services will be on an as needed basis, mostly when the Embassy Nurse is on holiday, away or on sick leave. Additional services will be mostly phone coverage in case of an emergency.
