The purpose of this fixed price contract is to obtain janitorial services for real property owned or managed by the U.S. Government at Belgrade, Serbia. The Contractor shall perform janitorial services in all designated spaces including, but not limited to halls, offices, restrooms, work areas, entrance ways, lobbies, storage areas, elevators and stairways. The contract will be for a one-year period from the date of the Notice to Proceed with four one-year options. Amendment 0001 is to add the email address to which Proposals/Quotes may be submitted to in electronic format. The Embassy of the United States in Serbia will launch the solicitation on the beta.SAM.gov website when it is available. Major duties and responsibilities include daily and periodic cleaning of the Embassy compound buildings, guard booths at certain locations and a swimming pool cabana and deck in downtown Belgrade, Serbia. The total area for cleaning is approximately 15,400 square meters. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The Government is planning a pre-quotation conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation. All contractors have to be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.
