Mission Pakistan has been using the TOTAL PARCO Pakistan Limited since 1990 and has never been experienced any problems with the company. Fuel prices in Pakistan are managed through a fortnightly review process by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Government of Pakistan, which adjusts prices based on international oil prices, import costs, and government taxes. The government also factors in broader economic considerations and the impact on consumers when making these adjustments. As a result, the prices are intended to be fair and reasonable. Total Parco Pakistan is nationwide renowned firm, and it has country wide operations. They are eligible to work credit terms. In unforeseen circumstances they provide the required supplies to the Consulate on the priority. Following contractors have been contacted but all companies are not agreeing to provide fuel on Consulate General’s terms and conditions: • Attock Petroleum Limited • Shell Pakistan Limited • Pakistan State Oil (PSO) Note: PSO is collaborating with the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, unable to contract with the U.S. Consulate in Lahore due to the following ground situations: PSO delivers fuel exclusively in their tankers with a minimum quantity of 10,000 liters. The entrance to the Lahore Consulate is too narrow to accommodate such large tankers, and this quantity of fuel exceeds our requirements. Additionally, PSO does not permit tankers from other firms to enter their depot to collect fuel. Therefore, the Consulate cannot send its 5,000-liter capacity tanker to their depot.
