This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This will be a sole source acquisition and is NOT a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The US Embassy in Lima will award a Single Source contract to TraneTechnologies Peru S.A.C. for the preventive maintenance of the Chillers located in the Chancery and Annex buildings for a one base year plus three (3) one-year options. The US Embassy in Lima will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement under the simplified acquisition procedures is prescribed by FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). The proposed contract action is Sole Source.
