The U.S. Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal, has a requirement for refurbishment services for the carpentry shop in accordance with the solicitation package attached. Only companies or individuals specializing in this field should apply. The Government intends to award a contract / purchase order to the responsible company submitting an acceptable offer at the lowest price. We intend to award a contract / purchase order based on initial quotations, without holding discussions, although we may hold discussions with companies in the competitive range if there is a need do so. It is compulsory for all companies doing business with the U.S. Government valued over $30,000 to register on a website called "SAM - System for Award Management" www.sam.gov. The website compiles standard information such as the company legal name, street address, contact information, and what kind of goods and services it offers. An NCAGE code is required to register in SAM. If you do not have this information,, it must be obtained before registering in SAM. There is no cost involved, neither to obtaining the NCAGE code nor to register in SAM. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to register their business as soon as possible to avoid any delay in making an award to the successful bidder. The Embassy intends to conduct a pre-quotation conference at the site. The pre-proposal site conference will be held on May 7 at 9:00 am at the U.S. Embassy, Avenida dos Combatentes (Back Gate Entrance), Lisbon. Please ensure you provide the names of the individuals who will attend the site visit on or before May 4, 2024, to the following email address: lisbonprocure@state.gov. The U.S. Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal, has a requirement to perform civil, mechanical and electrical services necessary to refurbish the carpentry shop located inside the main compound, and to update all the systems following the safety standards required by SHEM and local regulations. The work will include the removal and disposal of the old equipment, refurbishing of the premises, installation of electrical and mechanical systems and the supply of new machineries. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. The Government plans to issue the solicitation on March 26, 2024. Again, this solicitation will be issued via e-mail to the prospective offerors based on their written request to LisbonProcure@state.gov.
