This solicitation is hereby amended as detailed below: Following the Pre-Proposal Conference held on July 28, 2020 at 11:00 am, attached are; i. The conference minutes (see Swimming Pool Maintenance Services Pre-Solicitation 19KE5020Q0021 - Minutes.pdf), and ii. Original Solicitation The Embassy of the United States in Kenya hereby launches this solicitation on the beta.SAM.gov website effective July 13, 2020. The RFQ submission date is Thursday, August 13, 2020 10:00 am East African Time. The complete offer shall be received by the U.S. Embassy Nairobi Kenya, located at the address indicated in the cover page of the solicitation documents. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price IDIQ type contract. The American Embassy in Nairobi requires the services of a qualified contractor to maintain the swimming pools at Mission residences. The contractor shall maintain the existing and fully functioning swimming pools in a manner to guarantee safety of users comfort and ensure adherence to the USA standards Approved American National Standards (ANSI), American National Standard for Water Quality in Public Pools, and SPAs ( ANSI/APSP-11 2009) as provided in the attachment 6 in regard to chemical balance, general operations, and condition of all installed features currently in place and those that may be introduced within the swimming pool scope. The virtual pre-proposal conference has been scheduled for July 28, 2020, at 11:00am. interested bidders should submit a request for access by July 23, 2020 4:00 pm. East African time. All contractors have to be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.
