Base Year, Option Year 1 and Option Year 2. For line items 1 and 5, remove “HSRP (Hot Standing Routing Protocol) Required” language and replace with “Automatic Failover Required” 2. Scope of Work Internet-CDC Nairobi HQ and Internet-CDC Kisian table. Original Solicitation The Embassy of the United States in Kenya hereby launches this solicitation on the beta.SAM.gov website effective June 29, 2020. The RFQ submission date is Monday, July 30, 2020 10:00 am East African Time. The complete offer shall be received by the U.S. Embassy Nairobi Kenya, located at the address indicated in the cover page of the solicitation documents. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with two one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The purpose of this solicitation is to obtain VPN, Internet Services, and Circuitry for the U.S. Embassy Nairobi CDC Offices The local Telecommunication’s Internet Service Provider (ISP) contracting firm must provide internet services and dedicated leased line channels and circuitry for connecting American Embassy CDC Offices and remote data links as shown below in this technical paper. This is the list of required services: SERVICE: Internet (Fiber Link and radio link back-up preferred) NAME: Internet-CDC Nairobi HQ and Internet-CDC Kisian Description: At CDC Nairobi: One (1) dedicated Internet channel at minimum 40,960 Kbps (40Mbps) providing fault tolerance in the last mile. HSRP protocol is required. At CDC Kisian: One (1) dedicated Internet channel at minimum 20,480 Kbps (20Mbps) providing fault tolerance in the last mile. HSRP protocol is required. Type of Service: Dedicated Internet Channel Location: Nairobi and Kisumu CDC Offices- KEMRI Campus Mbagathi The Government is planning a pre-quotation conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation. All contractors have to be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals. The guidelines for registration in SAM are also available at: https://www.fsd.gov/fsd-gov/learning-center-system.do?sysparm_system=SAM The government is planning a virtual pre-quotation conference on July 14, 2020 at 11:00am East African Time. Details to participate in this conference will be availed to interested offerors. Therefore, prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals, prospective offerors should send an email to NairobiGSO-Contracts@state.gov not later than 04:00pm. East African Time on July 10, 2020, for additional information or to obtain access to the virtual meeting.
