The Embassy of the United States in Guatemala will issue a solicitation for the acquisition of gardening services for official residences for the maintenance of its garden areas. Major duties and responsibilities are to provide gardening services in all designated spaces of the real property owned or managed by the US Embassy in Guatemala. The contractor shall provide all required labor, personnel, management, materials, and equipment to render the required services. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Guatemala will launch the solicitation on www.SAM.gov, website when it is available. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The Government is planning a pre-proposal conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation. Pursuant to FAR 4.1102(a) Offerors are required to be registered in SAM at the time an offer is submitted in order to comply with the annual representations and certifications requirements. Failure to be registered at time of proposal submission shall deem the offeror’s proposal to be considered non-responsive to the solicitation requirements and no further consideration will be given. Therefore, you are encouraged to complete the registration process and have an active account in sam.gov prior to proposal submission.
