Deputy Chief of Mission Residence Roof Replacement, US Embassy Accra, Ghana The Regional Procurement Support Office in Frankfurt, Germany, intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price Construction type contract during the third quarter of calendar year 2024. The successful contractor shall provide complete construction services, contract coordination, and supervision, including but not limited to the management and construction necessary to meet the requirements of the contract within the established timeframe. The contractor shall remove the existing roof and replacement with new at the Deputy Chief of Mission Residence in Accra, Ghana. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Deputy Chief of Mission Residence: a. Remove existing metal and asphalt shingle roofing, gutters, and rainwater leaders. b. Remove and replace existing wood soffit and facia as required to repair termite damage (approximately 10% of area). c. Remove and replace existing wood roof purlins, joists and rafters affected by termites (approximately 10% of quantity). Match existing member size, location, and anchors. d. Install new masonry half walls at second floor balcony to receive new entertainment roof roofing. e. Install new wood purlins between the existing wood purlins as shown in the drawings. Match the existing wood purlin dimensions. f. Install new insulation in attic spaces. g. Install new reflective insulation. h. Install new sheet metal roofing panels at all locations. i. Install new flashings at penetrations and perimeters. j. Paint all wood facia, eave boards and soffits. k. Install new sheet metal gutters and rainwater leaders. 2. Staff Residence, Rear Shed, Generator Shed, Tennis Pavilion: a. Remove and replace existing wood purlins, roof joists and rafters affected by termites (approximately 10% of quantity). Match existing member size, location, and anchors. b. Remove existing metal roofing, gutters, and rainwater leaders. c. Install new reflective insulation. d. Install new sheet metal roofing panels at all locations. e. Install new flashings at penetrations and perimeters. f. Paint all wood facia, eave boards and soffits. g. Replace sheet metal gutters and rainwater leaders in existing locations. The magnitude of this project is anticipated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000 U.S. Dollars for the entire project. In accordance with DOSAR 652.242-73 AUTHORIZATION AND PERFORMANCE (AUG 1999), it will be necessary for your organization to possess authorization to operate and do business in the country in which this contract will be performed. Contractors shall be required to provide: a. A thorough description as to what steps you have taken to investigate all requirements to obtain authorization to perform in the given country, b. Details of your findings and a description of what your organization will be required to undertake to obtain licensing, and c. Specific information concerning the period of time you anticipate it will take to obtain appropriate authorization. You will be required to provide information that clearly shows you are able to perform work in Ghana. Any entry or work visa issues requirements must be clearly discussed with a plan to mitigate any risk clearly identified. Bonding: The successful contractor will be required to provide the government with surety in the form of Irrevocable Letters of Credits, or other acceptable security IAW FAR 52.228-15, totaling 40% of the value of the contract.
