Renovation of Embassy Health Unit, US Embassy Ottawa, Canada The Regional Procurement Support Office in Frankfurt, Germany, intends to issue a Firm Fixed-Price Construction type contract during the second quarter of calendar year 2022. The successful contractor shall execute the design-build contract through renovating the US Embassy Ottawa’s Health Unit by repurposing an adjacent workshop space, thereby creating two offices by subdividing the interior space. In addition, an existing Facility Office shall be repurposed into a storage room. Within the existing Facility Office space, the project will entail relocating a large utility sink and convert a 420-liter water heater to tankless electric water heater. Building systems affected by this project include modifying the HVAC, electrical and fire sprinkler systems for each of the three spaces impacted by this project. There will be no structural modifications to the building as the project is comprised of moving and reconstructing interior walls and doors. The magnitude of this project is anticipated to be between $100,000 and $250,000 U.S. Dollars for the entire project. You will be required to provide information that clearly shows you are able to perform work in Canada. Any entry or work visa issues requirements must be clearly discussed with a plan to mitigate any risk clearly identified. Irrevocable Letters of Credit (ILOC): The successful contractor will be required to provide the government with surety in the form of Irrevocable Letters of Credits, or bonds, totaling 40% of the value of the contract.
