The Regional Procurement Support Office in Frankfurt, Germany, intends to issue a Firm Fixed-Price Construction Type Contract during the third quarter of calendar year 2021. The successful offeror shall perform construction services necessary to meet the requirements of the contract within the established schedules. The contract price shall include the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, and services required to replace the roofs of the US Embassy Rome’s Twin Villas. This project includes construction services for the installation of a protected membrane roof (PMR) on two roofs, each of which with a surface area of approximately 650 square meters. Additionally, one building will entail re-roofing, re-painting and application of new thermal insulation of whole terrace. The other building will entail re-roofing, re-painting, application of new thermal insulation of the whole terrace, replacement of the doors and windows and installation of new walkable glass-floor. The magnitude of this project is anticipated to be between $250,000 and $500,000 U.S. Dollars for the entire project. Any entry or work visa issues requirements must be clearly discussed with a plan to mitigate any risk clearly identified. Irrevocable Letters of Credit (ILOC): The successful contractor will be required to provide the government with surety in the form of Irrevocable Letters of Credits totaling 40% of the value of the contract.
