Dear Prospective Offerors Enclosed is a Request for Proposals (RFP) for make ready services (minor maintenance and repair of residences). To submit a proposal: • Follow the instructions in Section L of the solicitation, • Complete the required portions of the attached documents, and • Submit IRS Form W-14 found at www.irs.gov/w14 to ensure compliance with FAR 52.229-11 The U.S. Government intends to award a contract to the responsible companies submitting an acceptable offer at the lowest price. We intend to award a contract based on initial proposals, without holding discussions. However, we may hold discussions with companies in the competitive range if there is a need to do so. Direct any questions regarding this solicitation in writing to CairoContracts@state.gov by COB September 06. Questions must be written in English and are clearly marked “RE: Solicitation Number [19EG3021R0001]. Please submit your quotation marked "Make Ready services offer [19EG3021R0001]" to CairoContracts@state.gov. The deadline for receipt of quotations is September 23, 2021 at 02:00 PM Cairo time. No quotations will be accepted after this time.

The requirements are for make-ready services for residences of U.S. Government owned and leased residential units including, but are not limited to, painting, repairing, carpentry, and electric work. It is the Government’s intention to issue a firm-fixed price multiple contract. The anticipated performance is for a base period of twelve months and four one-year options at the option of the Government. Contractors interested in doing business with the Government must be registered with the SAM website accessed through https://www.acquisition.gov. Contractor must also ensure annual representations and certifications are current or complete them at the SAM website as well. It is the responsibility of the quoter to continually view the website for the solicitation and any amendments. Interested contractors may submit an offer electronically to Cairo-Contracts@state.gov. The solicitation will be advertised on FedBizOpps and the Embassy web site http://egypt.usembassy.gov/contracts.html after 15 days.
