The Embassy of the United States in Caracas requires group health insurance services for employees and their dependents and group life accidental and work-related insurance coverage for locally hired employees. The anticipated performance period is for one base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the U.S. Government. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. Please review the RFP for the proposal due date and time. The U.S. Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The U.S. Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price with an economic price adjustment type contract. The U.S. Government is planning a pre-quotation conference, and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation. All contractors shall be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Failure to be registered at the time of proposal submission may deem the offeror's proposal to be considered non-responsible and no further consideration will be given. Therefore, offerors are highly encouraged to register immediately if they are interested in submitting a response to this solicitation.

The requirement is to provide health and life insurance services to the Locally Employed staff of the U.S. Mission Caracas, Venezuela. The estimated number of employees is 208 and 627 family members. Please note that these are only estimated quantities. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government.
