This is a NOTICE OF INTENT to award a sole source Indefinite-Delivery/Requirements contract for Health Insurance for Locally Employed Staff at the U.S. Embassy in Caracas to Seguros Caracas, C.A. The applicable NAICS code is 524114. The estimated period of performance is up to six months. This is a sole source requirement in accordance with authority citation, 41 USC 253(c) (1), and Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source - no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Seguros Caracas, C.A. is considered the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy U.S. Embassy Caracas requirements. See attached Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition. This service will be provided in Caracas, Venezuela. This is not a request for proposal and the intent of this notice is to meet regulatory disclosure requirements, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the Department. If no responsible, responsive offers are received by the above date, a sole source contract will be issued to Seguros Caracas, C.A., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
