SUMMARY: The U.S. Embassy Rangoon and Overseas Buildings Operations [OBO] has a requirement for removal and replacement of the existing NEC (New Embassy Compound) covered walkway/canopy roofs and related roof components. The covered walkways consist primarily of existing single ply roofing over a tongue-and-groove wood roof deck and one-story timber canopy structures. The proposed roof replacement scope includes, but is not limited to, the following: Remove existing single ply roofing membrane, in-situ concrete, tongue-and-groove wood deck and related components. Adjust and re-tighten structural wood members to its original alignment. Installation of 100% new tongue-and-grove wood deck. Installation of 100% new wood fascia and new wood blocking to accommodate new roofing assembly. Replacement of 25% new wood joists and metal joist hangers. Installation of new self-adhering underlayment. Strip in new flashings with self- adhering underlayment. Installation of new slip sheet. Installation of new brass sheet-metal flashings/covers at joints, hips, rake edges, eaves, perimeters, and where required. Installation of new brass standing seam metal roof panels and related components. Sand all wood components and apply linseed-based wood stain. Final cleaning and adjusting. Provide all necessary materials for the successful completion of this roof replacement project of the following covered walkway/canopy roofs: CW1 Partial & CW2 – “Phase III” as indicated on drawings +/- 3500 sf Total: +/- 3500 sf Please check attachment for the details scope and T&C.
