FIRE ALARM REPLACEMENT IDIQ
The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations plans to award an IDIQ contract for replacing and repairing fire alarm systems at U.S. embassies, consulates, missions, and branch offices worldwide. The department has over 268 diplomatic facilities that must keep operating during emergencies, and about 120 fire alarm systems are past end-of-life with no manufacturer support. Work will be issued through individual task orders and includes removing existing equipment; furnishing, installing, programming, and testing new fire alarm systems; performing repairs; and delivering fire alarm materials to overseas sites. Performance may occur at remote and high-threat international locations.
