The Department of State (DoS), Bureau of Human Resources (HR), requires a solution to provide, operate and maintain an automated staffing system to include the technical expertise and training services for the Department of State. These services include, but are not limited to, automating the staffing process for all Competitive Service and most Excepted Service job vacancies to include Civil Service, Student Interns, Fellows, Foreign Service generalists and specialists. Additionally, the system must be FedRAMP approved, or undergoing FedRAMP approval. The FedRAMP Authorization Act was enacted by Congress and signed into law by President Biden as part of the FY2023 National Defense Authorization (NDAA) Act in January of 2023. The FedRAMP Authorization Act codifies the FedRAMP program as the authoritative standardized approach to security assessment for government cloud infrastructure, and further, makes FedRAMP authorization a mandatory requirement for any cloud?based systems storing or processing federal information.
