The Bureau of Information Resource Management, Business Management and Planning, Office of IT Acquisitions, Contract Services Division (IRM/BMP/ITA/CS), the Bureau of Consular Affairs, (CA/CST), Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement, (INL/EX/GAP), and the Bureau of Administration, Office of the Procurement Executive (A/OPE) are conducting introductory market research into generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) capabilities for the Department’s IT acquisitions requirement writing. Pre-acquisition business operations rely on dated technology and manually intensive processes resulting in unexploited data resources, wasted labor hours, and inefficiencies. The goal of embedding AI technology into an existing and recurring process is to reduce inefficiencies from manual laborious tasks, simplifying workflows, and improving the accuracy of repetitive tasks in the market research and acquisition planning phases. Questions are due by August 4, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. Responses are due by August 11, 2023 at 12:00 P.M.
