THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) seeks to commission talented architects, landscape architects, interior designers, engineers, and construction professions to design and construct Embassy and Consulate Compounds. OBO’s mission is to provide safe, secure, functional and resilient facilities that represent the U.S. government to the host nation and support our staff in the achievement of U.S. foreign policy objectives. These facilities should represent American values and the best in American architecture, design, engineering, technology, sustainability, art, culture, and construction execution. OBO is seeking creative, resourceful, and accomplished design-build teams to design and construct the New Consulate Compound (NCC) in Adana, Turkey. This unique project will be awarded with minimal or no design documents (no bridging). In addition to OBO Codes and Standards, site and program information will be provided. The selected design-build team are to demonstrate the value of true integrated design that balances aesthetics, cost, constructability, and resiliency; create environmentally responsible, secure, functional, and superior consulate complex. The Offeror (i.e., Design-Builder) shall be expected to deliver the project in partnership with key team member firms including, but not limited to the Lead Designer, Design Team, Constructor, and OBO.
